What are PRP/PRF treatments?
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) treatments use the plasma in your own blood to restore vibrancy, vitality, and a beautiful, healthy glow to the skin. Designed to stimulate and promote new cell growth, the injections work by encouraging new production of collagen and elastin, which can naturally slow down as we age. It also helps the skin to repair and regenerate, leaving it looking better for longer.
How to PRP/PRF treatments work?
PRP/PRF treatments can help skin appear firmer, tighter, plumper, and more radiant. The skin is encouraged to repair and regenerate itself, with long-term benefits and results from the stimulation of collagen and elastin production.
What conditions can PRP/PRF treat?
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) treatments restore vibrancy, vitality, and a beautiful, healthy glow to the skin. They can also be used to minimise the appearance of scars, reduce pore size, even out the skin tone and texture, and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. The skin is left looking healthier, younger and completely regenerated.
What happens during the PRP/PRF treatment?
We’ll first draw blood from a vein in the body and then use a centrifuge to separate the plasma from the other red blood cells. This plasma is then placed in a syringe which will be administered to the areas of the face that need targeting.
Is there any downtime after PRP/PRF treatment?
There’s no downtime involved with either of these treatments, and you’ll be able to return to your day as normal. You might experience some minimal swelling or bruising at the treatment site, but this should go away quickly.
When will I notice results from PRP/PRF treatment?
The results from this treatment are usually visible three months after application, with optimum results noticeable from 6 – 12 months afterwards.
